Welcome Dr Melissa Jardine – A Global Leader in Law Enforcement, Public Health and Gender Equity Joins GCG

The Global Consortium Group is proud to welcome Dr Melissa Jardine as our newest consortium member.

Melissa brings to the team a rare blend of on-the-ground law enforcement experience and global policy expertise, shaped over two decades of work across more than 30 countries.

A former Victoria Police officer turned academic and international consultant, Melissa’s career has spanned the worlds of policing, gender equity, organisational reform and public health, making her an invaluable asset to the GCG network.

As a values-driven leader, Melissa exemplifies the kind of forward-thinking, impact-focused expertise that GCG exists to offer. She has worked with organisations including UN Women, INTERPOL and UNODC to improve policing cultures and outcomes, particularly through the lens of gender and human rights.

She’s also a Fellow and founding Director of the Global Law Enforcement and Public Health Association and is currently shaping the global conversation on inclusive and accountable policing through her work with the International Association of Women Police.

Melissa’s appointment further enhances GCG’s ability to support governments, law enforcement agencies, and institutions around the world to address complex public safety challenges, from organisational culture reform and gender-based violence, to community engagement and cross-sector collaboration.

At GCG, we believe that progress in public safety depends on courageous, collaborative leadership. That’s why we bring together experts like Melissa Jardine, professionals who combine deep knowledge with lived experience, and who are committed to driving lasting, meaningful change.

We’re thrilled to have Melissa join the consortium and look forward to working together to advance positive outcomes in policing, public health, gender equity and regional safety, particularly in the Asia-Pacific and beyond.
