Adrian Hutchinson

Adrian (Ade) brings a rare combination of frontline policing experience, national programme leadership and commercial expertise to help software and technology vendors succeed in the public safety sector.

He joins CCG from Police Digital Service where he led Business Insight, working  at the intersection of policing and industry. In this role, Ade helped suppliers navigate entry into the UK public safety market - building strategic relationships, ensuring alignment with national standards and enabling effective partnerships with policing organisations. He also led the Innovation Today showcases which saw forces and suppliers jointly demonstrate scalable technology solutions.

Prior to this, Ade held business development roles within two technology SMEs (forensics and SaaS) where he built and converted international pipeline across the UK, EU and US. His work included leveraging complex funding streams and supporting market expansion into regions such as Ukraine and Turkey - giving him a strong understanding of how to sell in diverse and regulated environment's

Ade`s earlier policing career included senior operational and programme leadership roles across Cambridgeshire and the Metropolitan Police. He led nationally significant technology deployments, including large-scale body-worn video rollout and the introduction of in-car and mobile capabilities spanning mapping,messaging,and CCTV. As Programme Director for Emergency Services Network (ESN) in the Met, he oversaw a major device and service transformation,including transitioning over 24,000 users to new communication platforms and commercial frameworks.

He has consistently operated at the interface between users, buyers and suppliers - shaping requirements, influencing national policy and ensuring that technology delivers measurable operational and commercial outcomes. As a member of Home Office steering groups and national device lead he represented policing while working with industry to align solutions with real-world needs. 

Today Ade advises tech vendors seeking to enter or scale in public safety markets. He supports organisations to navigate procurement, build compelling value propositions, manage successful pilots, develop routes to market and convert innovation into sustained adoption. 

Ade holds BSc (Hons) and MSc qualifications in community safety disciplines, alongside certifications in sales, Lean Six Sigma and business change.
