Chief Technology Officer. A technology architect for 38 years, from computer operator to chief technology officer and chief architect roles at Fujitsu, BT, Wipro, Sopra Steria and Capita. At GCG he leads technology strategy for police and public-safety clients, including Police Service of Northern Ireland counter-terrorism technology and Martyn's Law premises-protection design. He has published four books on the ethics of artificial intelligence and digital governance.
At GCG, Neil leads technology strategy and advisory across public safety and policing — including PSNI counter-terrorism technology, a UK custody AI data mesh applying AI analytics across police custody systems, and Martyn's Law (Terrorism (Protection of Premises)) technology design.
A published author of four works on AI ethics, technology strategy and digital governance, Neil has spoken at IBM, Wired, PSNI and Home Office DDAT forums, and is the only non-IBM person invited to present at the IBM Distinguished Engineers Global Leadership event.
Across thirty-eight years and more than twenty sectors Neil has worked from computer operator to Group CTO, has held a chief information security officer role, and has led technology programmes to £1.5bn. He holds fractional and advisory technology appointments across PE-backed, scale-up and public sector organisations, and the Technology & Innovation advisory services derive from that practice.

- 2019 – 2021 Director, Digital, Data & Integration Architecture, BT One of five senior architects leading BT's £1.5bn pan-organisation digital transformation; closed a landmark data partnership with Google Cloud identifying £800m of potential value.
