  • Neil Catton

    GCG Chief Technology Officer

    Chief Technology Officer. A technology architect for 38 years, from computer operator to chief technology officer and chief architect roles at Fujitsu, BT, Wipro, Sopra Steria and Capita. At GCG he leads technology strategy for police and public-safety clients, including Police Service of Northern Ireland counter-terrorism technology and Martyn's Law premises-protection design. He has published four books on the ethics of artificial intelligence and digital governance.

    GCG Counter Terrorism & Protective Security Director

    Former UK Counter Terrorism Policing leader with national responsibility for preparedness, organisational learning and commander development. Founder of CT Protect, a consultancy that combined practical advice, supporting technology and training to help organisations strengthen their security preparedness.

    GCG Director of Transportation Strategy

    Retired as Chief Superintendent and Commander for the London & Southeast Division of British Transport Police, after 45 years' policing. Former Head of CID (Criminal Investigation Department) and of Professional Standards, and Senior Investigating Officer on major crime and serious misconduct investigations.

  • Emily McCarlie

    GCG Global Marketing Officer

    Global Marketing Officer. An honours graduate in marketing from the University of Strathclyde, she runs GCG's marketing and communications and has campaigned for charities.

  • Andy Mears

    GCG Commercial Director

    Ran the global onsite services organisation of a global IT systems integrator, managing a network of more than 530 service partners across 202 countries and territories for ten years. Forty years in frontline service roles, beginning in retail as manager of a company flagship store, then twenty-five years with the systems integrator.

  • Dr Michael Newman

    GCG Director of Evidence-Based Practice

    A 2023 Churchill Fellow for cybercrime and Secretary of the Australia & New Zealand Society of Evidence Based Policing, after 32 years in policing. His work on evidence-based practice has been recognised by the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy and the American Society of Criminology.

  • Chris Porter

    GCG Director of Forensic Strategy

    Former Director of Forensic Services for London's Metropolitan Police, after forty years in forensics and policing. Chaired the Strategic DNA Board on behalf of the Home Office, was National Police Chiefs' Council lead for forensic quality, and served on the Forensic Science Regulator's Advisory Council and the Board of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes. Fellow of the Westminster Abbey Institute and a Board member of the Queensland Forensic Science Advisory Council.

  • Michael Phelan APM

    GCG Director of Global Intelligence Services

    Michael Phelan APM is the former Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission and a former Deputy Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police, after more than 40 years in law enforcement. An Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra, he holds an MBA and specialises in national security and organised crime.

    Head of Business Process. He led UK infrastructure operations with more than 10,000 staff, then ran business applications across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and held global business development and operations roles. His work has centred on public sector service management, governance and compliance.
