A senior Victoria Police executive whose service culminated as Acting Assistant Commissioner, responsible for frontline service delivery with in excess of 3,000 staff across Eastern Region. State Police Commander for COVID operations and the January 2020 bushfires, and a former commander of the Intelligence & Covert Support Command, his experience spans operational and emergency command, intelligence and covert operations, cultural reform and corporate governance.
Tony's senior executive service with Victoria Police included Acting Assistant Commissioner for Eastern Region — responsible for the delivery of frontline service to the community with in excess of 3,000 staff across six regional divisions — and Commander and Acting Assistant Commissioner for Southern Metro Region, where he stewarded a $334.2M budget and realigned tasking and coordination practices to deliver reduced crime and safer community outcomes. As State Police Commander for COVID operations he led the closure of the New South Wales border within 36 hours of the Victorian Chief Health Officer's directions and the staffing of 32 vehicle checkpoints operating 24 hours a day for 59 days, deploying approximately 5,200 police members.
As Acting Assistant Commissioner of the Intelligence & Covert Support Command he led operations and cultural change for a specialist command with staff in excess of 750, provided critical support to Victoria Police's response to the Royal Commission into the Management of Police Informants, and delivered the final implementation phase of the force's $100m intelligence management solution. A former Non-Executive Director of an ASX-listed company, he maintains strong community connections through the Flemington Youth Kokoda Program, which he initiated with the African Australian community.

- 2020 – 2021 Commander, State COVID Operations, Victoria Police State Police Commander for COVID operations — led the closure of the New South Wales border within 36 hours in support of the Victorian Chief Health Officer's directions, and the staffing of 32 vehicle checkpoints operating 24 hours a day for 59 days, deploying approximately 5,200 police members across some 40,165 shifts.

- 2015 – 2017 Superintendent – Chief of Staff to Deputy Commissioner Regional Operations, Victoria Police Strategic advice, policy development and executive support to the Deputy Commissioner — authored the 'Operational Safety Measures' instruction, co-chaired the Vehicle Ramming Incidents Committee, chaired the functional specifications committee for the force's replacement ballistic vest, and supported the Police Operations Commander for the 2017 Bourke Street incident.
- 2008 – 2011 Non-Executive Director, Bioprospect Limited Board member of an ASX-listed natural compound and product development company with a market capital of $50M — elected Chairman of the Audit Committee and established its Operational Risk Management Committee.
