Speaking & Masterclasses

Talks on what technology decisions do to the people on the other side of them.

When you need this

The conference needs a technology keynote that is not a vendor pitch. The leadership offsite needs a session that changes the questions executives ask, not just the slides they have seen. Or the board wants to understand AI without being sold a platform by the person explaining it.

The engagement

Keynotes, conference sessions, leadership offsites and executive masterclasses, each written for the room it is delivered in. Topics: AI adoption and governance, what automation does to the work people do, how technology decisions land on the people affected by them, and the questions a board should ask before it authorises any of it. Every session is prepared for the room rather than recycled; board and offsite sessions are built around the live agenda.

What you receive

A planning call beforehand, the session itself, and the question set from it sent to every attendee afterwards. Audiences leave with something unusually concrete for a keynote: questions that fit inside any approval process, and a clear view of what it costs when nobody asks them.

What it changes

People use the questions in their own approval meetings the following week.

The experience behind it

Neil Catton, GCG's Chief Technology Officer, speaks on this. Thirty-eight years in technology across more than twenty sectors, from computer operator to Group CTO. He has published four books on AI ethics, technology strategy and digital governance, and has spoken at IBM, Wired, PSNI and Home Office DDAT forums — the only non-IBM speaker invited to present at the IBM Distinguished Engineers Global Leadership event.
